Trans-Pennine Express (Amiga) - Launched

Well here we are. It has taken since March to get this get up and running. Although I did break off for a few months in the summer to make my Crysis prototype - which was more fun and quite a bit easier.

I've been very busy of late, but Amiga Cammy asked for submissions for her calendar on Amiga Bill's stream, so I ended up putting the final few hours in to it to fix some nasty bugs.   This game was playtested by Ransom, from EAB, but you can perhaps find more bugs that we missed?

At least the actual motion control of the train is now rock solid, and the timer seems flexible enough to cope with some unexpected player commands, without messing up the track timings for the entire line (much??) anymore. So it feels more robust than at any stage of this games development, but of course the game still expects players to play it properly.

There are some things I might do to the game, listed on my page, such as making the scoring extra tight, so only perfect players get the perfect score, and weighting the scores so hard mode players are rewarded with extra points somehow. So all modes score the same for now.

Anyway, that's another FMV game done, as an experiment to see if I could code an interactive FMV game, rather than a passive one like Jarri-Matti Rally or Dragons Lair; - where the player his no interaction with the video and just responds to it.  I'd say even though the video player was NEVER designed to perform these things, such as double speed and stutter, and stop, somehow I made it do it.  Let me know of your experiences in the chat.
